Female Smartphone is an interactive installation that explores how emotion, the body, and technology shape contemporary experiences of heritage and museum spaces.

Using a mobile phone, a facial-recognition system, and a public display, the work engages visitors through the familiar act of taking a selfie. As visitors interact with the system, their facial expressions and bodily presence are captured and translated into real-time visual responses within the exhibition space. In this process, the audience is no longer a passive observer but becomes an active co-performer whose emotional state contributes to the atmosphere of the site.

The installation treats technology not as a neutral tool but as an affective mediator that reshapes relationships between bodies, spaces, and cultural heritage.
